"According to comingsoon.net, James Cameron is creating anoceanic ecosystem for Pandora, partially to reflect his concerns of theconservation of the Earth's oceans. What are those concerns? Overfishing, climate change, and the effects of greenhouse gasses, according to Cameron. Allimportant issues that can negatively impact our ecosystem. Cameron was quick topoint out that although Avatar 2 and 3 won't take place completely under water,he is excited to further explore that aspect of Pandora's environment.
Cameron is currently in the process of writing Avatar 2 and3, and plans on finishing both scripts by the end of the year with pre-productionon starting as soon as January of 2013. According to Hero Complex, Cameronplans on writing the films as two separate stories intended to complete the arcthat the first Avatar started, and that he's locking himself in his "top secretwriting cave" in order to finish over the next three months. Sounds like he'sgot his work cut out for him. As of now, Avatar 2 is expected to hit thetheaters in 2015."
Aside from James Cameron's obvious environmentalist agenda with the films, the sequel(s) sound like they'll be a hit! 2015 is a loooooong ways away for part 2. But, we'll continue to keep you guys up to date with news as pre-production starts up next year!

James Cameron has signed "Terminator" television series creator to work on the new script. This is all according to The Wrap, who is reporting that Josh Friedman, the man behind 2008's Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, is on board to work on the new screenplay for the Avatar sequel.

James Cameron Talks 'Avatar' Sequels Inspiration
:)
So we knew it was ocean based, and we all sorta had a hunch that his underwater explore thing had to do with it, but very soon it sounds like pre-production of the movie will still go under way! Unfortunately, according to my research, the date is still set for 2016, but we can hope that maybe they'll hurry? XD
If you can't see the video, here is the transcript:
"James Cameron's extracurricular hobby of deep-sea diving has always influenced his day job. The life on Pandora in "Avatar," to the wreck in "Titanic"--- AND now Cameron's recent record-setting solo dive to the Mariana Trench is providing further inspiration for the "Avatar" seq
Folders/Submissions
EDIT: FINALLY! I finished organizing and cleaning up folders. Now it should give you a better idea of where to submit your art. :) Cheers!
Been a long time, but I was looking at our galleries and they are a mess. Gonna take me a few days to sort stuff, but for now, here are reminders and changes.
From now on, the Featured folder will be for the art that we, the staff, feel is exceptional. Only the staff are allowed to submit to that folder, or move pieces from the other galleries into there. Right now it is not in order, so don't be confused. heh
There will also be new folders added. There will be a Digital Artwork folder and a Traditional
